Tungsten carbide core bits, like diamond drill bits, drills for cores but use tungsten carbide as its cutting medium. It can cuts the same size core as that by a diamond bit & fits into the same size core barrel. The quality of tungsten carbide tip has been specially chosen for rotary core drilling to give high wear resistance.
